Georgie opened Pamperina, a European-style beauty salon that offers non-invasive beauty treatments in March 2019.
Georgie employed Silvia soon after opening, and they marketed the business by going door to door and doing mail drops in the local area.
Pamperina quickly developed a loyal following and the calendar was full of appointments, meaning Georgie was able to bring on new team members.
The lockdown meant that Georgie had to temporarily shutter the new business. Despite considerable pressure, she saw the pandemic as a window of opportunity to make changes, improve the salon, and test out new strategies.
The team maintained as much contact with their clients and tried to market the salon as much as possible.
During this period, Georgie’s team used their time productively, developing their website, making changes to the brick-and-mortar salon, and coming up with a marketing strategy for the post-lockdown period – all while remaining positive and creative.
Georgie has retained a good number of her clients, although the business is yet to return to their pre-lockdown busy schedule. It has been great for her to see clients again and make plans to further develop her business.
