When Amy initially opened Bella Yorke Boutique in 2015 as a homewares store, she had just one clothing rack “just in case”. Seeing the demand for local apparel, Bella Yorke started transitioning from a homewares store into a clothing boutique over time.
Amy made the decision in April 2020 to close temporarily after the pandemic struck, making use of the following six weeks to renovate her brick and mortar space and develop an online store.
Amy cites her amazing customers as her driving force and says the decision to move to online sales has allowed her to form a customer base beyond her local town of Ardrossan, South Australia.
Amy and the boutique are a core part of their local community and are proud to sponsor and support local community initiatives such as the Christmas Street Party.
Bella Yorke also sponsors the local netball team the Ardrossan Roos, and is involved with community-based charities, helping put on an annual fashion show to raise money for cancer research.
